Distributed database (Tencent Distributed SQL, TDSQL) is a distributed database product created by Tencent, featuring strong consistency and high availability, global deployment architecture, distributed horizontal scaling, high performance, and enterprise-level security. It also provides supporting facilities such as intelligent DBA, automated operations, and monitoring alarms, offering customers a complete distributed database solution. Currently, TDSQL has provided public and private cloud database services to over 500 government and enterprise organizations and financial institutions, covering banking, insurance, securities, internet finance, billing, third-party payment, IoT, Internet+, government services, and other fields. TDSQL has also obtained multiple international and national certifications based on its high-quality products and services, gaining widespread recognition from both customers and the industry. The version launched this time is a new product form of TDSQL, based on the self-developed TDStore engine. Compared with the existing distributed version, it has less intrusion on the application (no need to explicitly specify the distribution key), and both compute and storage can be flexibly scaled on demand with no business impact. Because of the technical architecture, the product form has a large adjustment compared with the original version. To avoid any impact on existing products and specifications, a new product family needs to be defined.
