APM (Application Performance Management) provides multiple application integration methods to support different programming languages and application deployment environments.
Access Solution Selection
APM supports multiple reporting protocols such as OpenTelemetry and Skywalking. The OpenTelemetry community is highly active with rapid technological change, and it is extensively compatible with mainstream programming languages, components, and frameworks. Select the OpenTelemetry solution first. For more information about OpenTelemetry, refer to OpenTelemetry official website.
For applications deployed in Kubernetes, select the Operator mode first for automatic connection, saving workload on installing probes and changing configuration. For more information about Operator mode, refer to Install tencent-opentelemetry-operator.
Can Non-Tencent Cloud Environment Be Integrated?
Yes, as long as the network is reachable between the application and the APM server, access is possible. APM provides public network access points and private network access points. For applications in non-Tencent Cloud environments (such as local IDC or other clouds), public network access points can be used. Or through Direct Connect (DC) and other methods to connect to Tencent Cloud VPC, using private network access points for better network quality.
