VPC supports IPv6 feature. When there are IPv6 service needs, you need to assign an IPv6 CIDR IP range to your VPC first, and then cloud resources in the VPC can be assigned IPv6 addresses within the VPC's IPv6 CIDR, enabling IPv6 communication for your services. This section describes how to assign IPv6 CIDR to the VPC through the console.
Note
The IPv6 CIDR for VPCs is currently in beta testing. If you need to use it, please contact us online.
Regions where VPC supports IPv6 are as follows: Guangzhou, Shanghai, Beijing, Nanjing, Chengdu, Chongqing, Hong Kong (China), Singapore, Bangkok, Jakarta, Tokyo, Seoul, Virginia, Silicon Valley, Frankfurt, Sao Paulo, Beijing Finance, Shanghai Finance, and Shenzhen Finance. If you need to use it, please contact us online.

Assign IPv6 CIDR

1. Log in to the VPC console.
2. At the top of the VPC page, select the region of the target VPC.
3. In the VPC list, locate the target VPC and choose More > Edit IPv6 CIDR Block in the Operation column.
4. In the displayed Edit dialog box, click Obtain. The system will assign a /56 IPv6 CIDR block to the VPC.
5. Click OK to complete the IPv6 CIDR assignment.
Note:
Cloud Virtual Machine (CVM) instance types that support communication using ULA addresses are as follows: S5, S5se, SA2, S4, SN3ne, S2ne, SR1, M6ce, M6p, M5, MA2, M4, IT5, IT3, D3, D2, and C5.

Releasing an IPv6 CIDR Block
