Scenarios

Recreation refers to the process of terminating all currently deployed POD resources across all role dimensions and then repurchasing POD resources with the same configuration specifications as the original ones. This feature is primarily applicable when configuration files undergo "additions or deletions," allowing you to use the recreation feature to make the configuration take effect.
Note:
Restart: This operation is applicable only when configuration item parameters change, to make them take effect.
Recreation: The recreation process may fail. If it fails, the load of the active service role may fail to start, which can lead to service unavailability. Proceed with caution. Ensure that you perform this operation without affecting your business.

Operation Steps

1. Log in to the Elastic MapReduce on Tencent Kubernetes Engine console, then click the Cluster ID/Name in the cluster list to go to the cluster details page.
2. On the cluster details page, choose Cluster Service > A Service (for example: choose Hive) and go to the role management page.
3. On the role management page, select the service role that requires recreation and click Recreate.
4. On the recreation configuration page, confirm the relevant configuration adjustment information, select a recreation method (supported methods: rolling recreation and fast recreation), carefully read the important notes, and select the checkbox to agree to the recreation information.
5. Click OK to recreate the POD.
6. In the POD list, click the POD status to view its details. You can view up to 10 status data entries for the current POD from the last hour.
