Application Performance Management supports pay-as-you-go (postpaid) and package (prepaid) two billing modes, the comparison is as follows:
Billing Mode
Billing Item Formula
Link Storage Duration
Sampling Policy
Description
Pay-as-you-go (postpaid)
Total cost = Reported link fees + Link storage cost
Reported link fees = Report quantity (million) × Unit price reported on the link
Link storage cost = Report quantity (million) × Link storage duration (days) × Unit price of link storage
Select as needed; storage duration affects consumption.
Default is 100%; sampling can be done as needed, and the sampling rate will affect the link storage fees.
Users can adjust the sampling policy as needed. When the sampling rate is less than 100%, the number of stored Spans will be less than the number of reported Spans.
The default billing mode of APM is pay-as-you-go. According to the actual usage of each billing item, it is measured, settled, deducted and billed hourly. See Pay-as-you-go (postpaid).
Package (Prepaid)
Packages are charged based on the number of probes (Agents) and usage duration, with the individual billing item being Agent * Hour. After each application process is connected to APM, it will consume 1 Agent * Hour per hour.
3 days
Fixed at 10% and retain all exceptional linkages.
Purchase first, use later. In specific scenarios, the package can reduce product costs. At settlement, the system will prioritize offsetting the usage of the package, and the excess part of the resource package will be billed on a pay-as-you-go basis. For more information, see Package (Prepaid).
Note:
APM offers a 15-day trial period for new users, with a reporting limit of 100 million Spans within 15 days and a storage duration of 7 days. If the limit is exceeded, you can activate the official version of APM on the APM > Resource Management page.
