Dear TencentDB for CTSDB user,
Thank you for your trust and support of TencentDB for CTSDB. Tencent Cloud continues to upgrade and improve the product to meet the ever-changing needs of time series data.
The versions 1.0 and 2.0 of TencentDB for CTSDB will no longer be sold soon, and services will be suspended. It is recommended that you migrate and upgrade the versions 1.0 and 2.0 to version 3.0 of TencentDB for CTSDB. Details are shown below:
Version Details:
Versions 1.0 and 2.0: Services will be suspended on March 31, 2025.
Versions 1.0 and 2.0 support migration and upgrade to version 3.0.
Recommendations:
It is recommended that you upgrade instances of versions 1.0 and 2.0 to version 3.0, which has the following strengths:
Higher performance: The data write concurrency performance and query response speed of clusters of version 3.0 are improved by 100%.
Lower cost: Version 3.0 has better performance and a higher data compression ratio, which greatly reduces the storage cost per unit of data.
Higher availability: Version 3.0 adopts the scheme of distributed clusters with multiple data replicas to provide higher availability with multi-AZ deployment.
Higher usability: Clusters of version 3.0 are compatible with the open-source InfluxDB protocol and SQL-like protocols, which facilitates integration with open-source components for data collection and data analysis.

Upgrade Steps:
1. Requirement assessment: Contact us through submit a ticket to assess your requirements and the upgrade plan.
2. Upgrade guide: See the relevant upgrade documents in Appendix. The upgrade involves data migration and business migration.
3. Technical support: The technical team will provide support throughout the upgrade process to ensure smooth progress of the upgrade.

Appendix:
1. Data migration
For the tools and guide of data migration, see Introduction to Migration Tools. Technical support is provided to assist in data migration.
2. Business migration
The business and application layer need to adapt to version 3.0. This version is compatible with the open-source InfluxDB protocol. The detailed documents are as follows:
For the protocol compatible with version 3.0, see Database Management.
For instance connection and data read/write, see Connecting to Instance and Writing Data.

Yours faithfully,
Tencent Cloud Team
